Sky Watching
[SPEAKERS FORUM] [WORKSHOP SPACE] [3rd EYE]
The Space Space offers cosmic exploration...
Sit and relax around the handbuilt wooden Sundial or step into the celestially aligned geodomes and find dedicated solar telescopes from the Travelling Observatory [http://www.thetravellingobservatory.co.uk/], safely letting you see sunspots and coronal arcs on the face of the Sun - come and witness first hand the greatest solar minimum for 500 years!
Also, you will find workshops on space exploration and can even design your own habitation module from recycled space junk.
At night, The Space Space can easily be found as the geodesic domes glow in the dark!
Our night-time scopes let you see stars, planets, nebulae and even galaxies. Over the festival, Jupiter and its Moons will be visible all night.
Cosmologist Dave Molz from the Brighton Sky [http://www.onbrightsky.co.uk/] will also give a laser guided tour of the stars and constellations, weaving together their myths and legends from various cultures. |
